Yes, we have our own rolling road: a Dynomax 5000BR chassis dyno for front, rear and four-wheel-drive cars, here in Faringdon, between Swindon and Oxford.

Ours is a Dynomax 5000BR chassis dyno. The car sits with its driven wheels on the rollers and a big fan in front, and we run it through the rev range under load. You get real numbers at your own wheels, faults that only show under load, and the figures before and after any work. If a change was worth making the numbers say so, and if it wasn't, they say that too.

Questions people ask before they ring

Where are you?
Unit 10B RAC Estate, Park Road, Faringdon, Oxfordshire SN7 7BP, on the A420 between Oxford and Swindon. Easy to find and easy to park.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm. Saturday: please ring first. Closed on Sundays.
Do you do MOTs?
We arrange them for you with a trusted test station, and sort any repairs it needs, all in one go. So it isn't a wait-while-you-watch MOT, but it is one phone call.
Do you work on performance cars?
Yes. Alongside everyday servicing and repairs we do rolling-road dyno work and performance tuning, for all makes and models.
What actually happens on the rolling road?
The car is strapped down with its driven wheels on the rollers and a large fan in front of it, then run through the rev range under load while power and torque are measured at the wheels. You get the figures before and after any work. For what a session costs and how long to allow, give us a ring.
Do the parts you fit come with a warranty?
Yes. Parts we fit carry the maker's or supplier's warranty, typically 3 or 12 months depending on the part. Ask us what applies to your job.
Can you collect and deliver my car?
Locally, yes, by arrangement and for a charge. It depends what's in the workshop that week, so ring and we'll tell you if we can fit it in.
Which areas do you cover?
Most of our work comes from within about 30 miles of Faringdon: all of Swindon and parts of Oxford. Customers also travel to us from London, Birmingham, Nottingham and Peterborough.
